I've once read on a magazine on shyness. Like what are the different degrees of shyness and what causes them. The extreme ones are wouldn't even dare to leave their homes. I know this is unbelievable, but I belong to the group quite at the bottom of the rank.
I'm willing to leave my room, but if there are visitors, I would prefer to stay in the room. It's out of my comfort zone if you ask me to sing and dance in front of a group of people, even if they are people whom I personally know. I can't speak in front of a large group, which is why I choose to keep quiet when I'm out with a group of people. Never get me to do public speaking, I think I'll freak out.
And the reason why people are shy: Overprotective parents.
Kids with overprotective parents tend to rely on others more, and I think I'm one of them. And we tend to rebel more, in order to get what we want.
I'm stubborn in a way. I'll do everything to get whatever that I can't get. The more you object, the more I'll want it. So why don't you just give it to me without me having to beg for it? I think I'll just give it a miss if you would give in.
Overprotective parents tend to just cause more sufferings for their kids.
