Today's soci lecture was about race and ethnic, so you can well guess there's always the talk on racism. Fact is, no matter how much you believe in racial harmony, you're bound to be a little racist. Racist jokes, stereotypes and all.

But going to the extent of racial riots, massacre etc... It's just so cruel. It's not like people can choose which race/ethnic group they want to belong to.
Just take the Hotel Rwanda case for example. The Tutsis and Hutus belong to the same religion, they speak the same language. They even have the same colour. It's almost impossible to tell them apart. Yet, the Hutus discrimate against Tutsis, calling them cockroaches, killing hundreds of thousands of them.
And where the Jews are killed during the Holocaust?
Their hair were shaved off, as proof that they were killed. Then having their corpses dumped in the pile of human bodies.

It's just plain mean.

Anyway, I'm kind of excited now. Not because of all these racism going around in the world. But because MY PARENTS HAVE AGREED TO LET ME GO FOR THE MAURITIUS TRIP WITH JINGYI. (: (: (: Hope they don't change their mind.
Now, I'll just need to phrase my question and pop it to them casually. Cos I'll need $400 for the deposit.
