Gah! Tutorial was cancelled again today.
I went to school at 11.30 for a 2hour lesson at 4pm. Wasted my entire afternoon. ): Luckily I've decided to bring my laptop to school. At least I could surf facebook, play some games and do some readings. As expected, I spent more time playing games than doing my readings. I so lack determination to do well.
And just now, on my way back home during peak hour, I overheard an Indian lady getting two office ladies to stop talking.
She turned to them, smiling, and said "You both have been chattering non stop throughout the whole journey. Why do you have so much to tell each other? Can't you do it over the phone at night?"
Both the ladies stared at each other for a while then continued chatting, but they lowered their volume. Few sentences into their conversation, the Indian lady turned to them again and said "You know, both of you are considered public nuisances. Just so you know, I'm having a headache."
What the crap. You can't possibly get everyone around you in the carriage to stop their conversation just because you're having a headache right? If you really wanted a comfortable and quiet ride home, might as well hail a cab. Inconsiderate commuter, who thinks everyone's public nuisance except herself.
But it was quite a funny scene. After one of the office ladies alighted, the friend just kept looking at the Indian lady from the corner of her eyes. The Indian lady was actually doing the same. It's like both of them are shooting daggers from the corner of their eyes but neither of them knew what the other one was doing.
------
Liying's school doesn't allow her to shave for Hair for Hope!
Their reason is: If a girl shaves skin head, she'll look like a gang leader.
If she were to shave her head, she'll have to wear a wig to school.
How ridiculous. It just defeats the purpose of shaving, because the rationale behind the whole Hair of Hope event is to convey the message to the cancer patients, telling them being bald is fine and they're not alone.
Why stop the student if she's going her part for charity? How many girls are willing to get their hair shaved off for charity?
While trying to persuade the teachers, she found out that there's actually a student who has some illness, causing her to experience hair loss. Which means, she's kind of hairless. SHE'S MADE TO WEAR A WIG TO SCHOOL.
It's like discrimination against bald girls. Inhumane.
