Guan and I have been spending sooooo much this month, mainly on food. We haven't been controlling our expenses, even though we promised each other we would. Like how whenever we visited Daiso, we'll leave with at least a few times. It's always "Never mind, it's just $2" and there goes a $10 bill.

Just yesterday, we spent the entire day out because of my one and only piano break after 3 months. Because of the 1-for-1 sundae voucher we received from NUS Open House, we considered having lunch at Swensen's. And they happened to have the 1-for-1 lunch offer so the auntie in me decided to have lunch at Swensen's. In the end, we didn't use our voucher because it's not valid for mudpies. ):

After lunch, we went down to Sentosa for their new dolphin & sealion show. Guan hasn't been there for more than 10 years!

But look at the crowd on a Thursday afternoon! It was full house. I was expecting it to be 1/4 filled.

This lousy baby sealion only knows how to bow and clap its flippers. Throughout the entire performance, it just stared at the fishes in the container, waiting to be fed.

While Brenda the smart ass walks on its front flippers.

And balances ball on its nose.

The dolphin show was way better than the original show at the old dolphin lagoon. In the past, they teach us how they take care of their dolphins, make the dolphins do a few tricks and photo session.

This time, they got the dolphin to jump through the hoop.

And they got a tourist from Thailand to compete playing hoops with one of the dolphins. Obviously the dolphin won. The hoop didn't stay on the man's waist for more than a sec.

I love how smart these creatures are.

This lucky man got to take a free photo with the pink dolphin.

And we visited Underwater World. It used to be my favourite place in Sentosa when I was a small girl, especially the tunnel. I could stand on the travelator and go round and round without feeling bored.
Now, I like the touch pool more. Guan thinks that the stingrays feel like sand paper.

He's super fascinated at these sea snakes. He spent a good 10mins staring at them. And I really wish someone would tell me if these 2 are mating. Hahaha.

These eels are so eew! They're ugly and evil looking. Their sharp teeth don't make them look any better.

This huge octopus has super gross tentacles! It tried sticking itself to the rocks by enlarging those suction pads. It makes my goosebumps stand!

And my favourite food! Hahaha.
I love seafood. These cuttlefishes are so meaty! But they swim in an entirely different way I thought they would swim. I thought they swim upright? With the head at the top and tentacles at the bottom.

Guan loves these weedy and leafy seahorses. He said he'd be good if we can decorate our aquarium with these. Just one is enough to beautify the entire aquarium. Like we can get them from just anywhere.

As I was looking at this, I was imagining myself swimming in an ocean.
Can you imagine yourself in the ocean looking at beautiful corals? Then all of a sudden, a shadow cast over you. When you look up, you see this thing right above you.
Goodness, I hate its beady eyes. And the sharp fangs.

And I can't imagine these swimming in the water.
They look like sea cockroaches and ugly fishes.

They added new black jellyfishes into the jellyfish aquarium! It used to be just big white jellyfishes.

We spotted a super mutated one.

We joked about how this shark has a vagina. HAHAHA!
But after checking out the information board, we learnt that this is a male shark. Those flaps are actually clasps for them to mate with the female sharks.

I thought Dugongs were supposed to be mermaid of the sea. But they eat so untidily.
Ok, there was just one dugong and when it buries its face in the bunch of leaves, all the small little fishes will swim beside it to feed on the small bits of leaves coming out from beside its face. They're there just to clear up after the dugong. What a messy creature!

And after going on the travelator for a few rounds, we decided to leave the place.

And that's when I spotted this weird looking fish. I wasted the remaining of my battery just to capture a picture of it, and none of them were successful. It has super thick lips and Guan called it the Ernest Fish. Hahaha. Just because it looks like my primary school friend/ his secondary school friend.

People were actually fascinated to see someone in the shark pool, cleaning the tank.
You don't see people stopping to watch a cleaner do his/her job right? But at Underwater World, people do that. And all of them are just cleaners cleaning different stuff.

We failed to keep to our promise that we would curb our spending, because dinner was at Marche. All the couples around us were just sharing a main course, with a soup or dessert or side dish or drink. Both of us? We shared TWO main course, a side dish and a soup.
We are big eaters. Well, good for him, bad for me.
