I'm having pre-tutorial jitters.
First tutorial of the semester. Slackest, but scariest. I was looking at the tutorial outlines, and it kinds of freak me out.

Exercise 1: Beginning a relationship
a) Each student to write a gut impression about 1 person nearest to the left in the group. Present (Speaking up in class) this impression and discuss what led to this impression.
b) Next write a small advertisement about yourself for new classmates to know. (I don't know what I'm going to write. And again, speaking up in class.)
c) INTRODUCTION OF SELF TO REST OF GROUP. (How many times must I speak up in class?!)
d) All to observe the verbal and non-verbal presentation of self. (Which makes speaking up in class worse.)

Exercise 2: Self awareness and disclosure
a) Each group member given an A3 size paper to write or draw 4 aspects of themselves. (Which will lead to speaking up in class.)
b) Turn to someone in the group to share as much as you ay want with the person and vice versa. (One-on-one. Much better than speaking up in class, but.....awkward silence.)

And we have to comment on one thing that we take away from the tutorial!
I know this module is all about communicating effectively. Practice what you preach. All that I know. But must we speak up in class so much? Where's the one bit at a time?

I'm not looking forward to tutorial tomorrow.
