I've been hearing this song in shops everywhere in Singapore, and whenever I do, I'm reminded of Mauritius. This was the very first song I heard when I first got to Mauritius. The bus was playing it, even the villa played this song to welcome us.

This was the villa I stayed in. It looks nice, but it's full of bugs. Lizards, moths, beetles, flying cockroaches etc. You name it. Every single living insect lived with us for the whole 13 days.

The first drink we got from the chefs. Pineapple cordial! It was so sweet smelling insects were flying and buzzing around the drinks.

We took super alot of jump shots in Mauritius. At the beach, on the mountains.

We even had picnic in a park. And the weather was perfect! Not too sunny and windy. Probably because we were located at the top of a hill.

Vandalism at work. We peeled the barks off the trees to bring it back home to make it into paper. Tesh said the barks of these trees were used to make paper.
I still have the barks on my table. (:

Best ice cream ever.

We were parked along a winding road and had to climb up a flight of steep stairs cut out of rocks to get to this magnificent sight. I saw sting rays in this blue sea!

And we had to walk back down. Climbing up was scary enough. To get back to our van, it was worse. You can just see the distance you would go if you were to fall.
I did my very first hike/climb up to the mountain top.

We went so far up, we were amidst the clouds.

Quad biking! Went through puddles of mud, trying to stay clean and dry. Saw deers leaping across our path to get back home. It was fantastic.

Saw the very first waterfall and feeling amazed. Mauritians were leaping off this waterfalls into the plunge hole.

We Singaporeans tried the jump at another waterfall. Only that the water wasn't clear. It was murky. But then again, when do you ever get to leap off a waterfall in Singapore?

We went for another hike, this time down a valley. And we climbed trees! Ok, I didn't. I watched Tesh climb and thought how great it was to be able to climb trees. I didn't even attempt to. Hahaha.

Love the Catamaran trip the most. We had barbeque food on the boat, caught wild dolphins doing their flips, suntanned and took many many beautiful pictures.

We got off the boat to swim to this little rock.

And we wasted money to see the seven coloured sands. Now tell me, do you see seven different colours? I see only brown, light brown, dark brown. It's just different shades of brown! CONNED.

In my 13 days there, I saw more rainbows than I would ever see in a year in Singapore. Beatiful full rainbows.
I'll never get sick of looking at the photos taken in Mauritius.
