This is too good to be true.
I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!!
Okay, the excitement wasn't quite there when I typed that sentence.
I was really hoping to pass because it would be another $600 to book a second driving test plus all the driving lessons. And I wasn't that excited when the tester told me I've passed. It's not the i-want-to-call-every-single-person-on-my-contact-list kind of happy. It's like a milestone completed. Once, you passed, you passed.
For school exams, after you get through one exam, you'll face another. After PSLE, you face O Levels.
For piano exams, after one exam, you'll go to the next grade.
That kind of never ending thing. You know what I mean.
But for driving, it isn't so. Once you pass, you'll never have to go back to the centre anymore and no more exams. Unless you lose all the points you have, in the case of the minority.
And I thought I'd get my license straight away.
After knowing my results, I had to go watch a video, get my student booklet back, then queue up at the traffic police counter to get my license FOR 50BUCKS.
Why do I need to pay for every single item?
So I went up to watch the video.
But the in charge said it was lunch time, and ask for me to be back half an hour later. I so wanted to leave, but not watching the video is equivalent to not passing the test. It's a package thing.
I went for lunch too.
Came back only to see gruesome images like dead people on the road with deformed limbs or burnt faces. Blood and limbs everywhere. As much as I not like watching horror movies, I hate gruesome images more. I almost regurgitated my lunch.
And no, I can't drive on the road yet.
Because I refuse to use the photo I have for my IC. I'm vain that way.
My license is going to be with me for life. I'd rather take a picture with my hair as short as now than to use the photo I used for my IC.
I'll be taking my photo on Friday (hopefully) and will be down as early as 8am to register for my license card! Early bird catches the worm. I don't want to wait for hours just for my license because I'm paying $50 for it!
