Instead of going shopping with my mum, I went down to the carpark to hear about the building of expressway near my estate. I've never seen so many people down for any meetings before and so many of them spoke up. Main concerns were the noise, the dust, the view and the value of our property. They've shown us the map of where the expressway will be built at.

It's not a really strategic area I would say.
The expressway will be built right above gambas avenue. But instead of turning right towards PIE, it turns left then right again, which is really unnecessary because that just makes all the residents here unhappy. Well, they did say it's to maximize the usage of land, but wouldn't it be easier to just curve the expressway towards the right?

So, if our suggestions fail to get through, I'll wake up every morning due to noise of traffic right outside my window. And instead of the green patch of land on the army camp, I'll see the expressway right outside my window. Just 15 metres away. Worse, I could be looking at the column used to support the expressway. And the start/end of the expressway won't even be near my place.

Why can't they just build a MRT/LRT track instead?
I'm sure we can overlook the noise for that.
