someone. give me herbal tea. i need to cool down. i need to extinguish the fire burning in me. today was the worst day ever. no wonder mich's mum said that she took 1 whole year to find a suitable part time job.

i went to mich's house this morning to look at classifieds together. we found several jobs attractive so we called up to enquire about the advertisements. all they said was "come down for the interview" so together, amanda, mich and i headed for the one in orchard. we had to start the "job" IMMEDIATELY. we were supposed to pack those 10-for-$1-pens into packets and sell them $2 each. we were irritated by the way the man, Jack, talked. he called those who have no time for the 2hrs "interview" stupid. is that what a MANAGER should do? we then walked around orchard to sell those pens and only managed to sell 8 in 1hr. Jack said we need to have the skills and told us to sell another 5 each. we told him we have to leave and i bet once we close the door behind us, he's scolding us stupid. argh. what kind of company is that? reminds me of a drug trafficking company. in the end, our "salary" is only enough to cover for the transport fares.

next, we headed for ruby plaza at toa payoh. it is an interview for us to become tuition coordinaters for hope education centre. we have to attend a training next week and pay $6 for the materials. we had to pay partially or the full amount of $6 to ensure that we will not change our mind about the job. each of us paid $3 but as we left the shop, we felt cheated. the shop is not nicely furnished. it is an old rented shop with paints that are peeling off. the room has only 2 tables and 1 computer. worst, the shop does not have a sign board. we decided to get our money back though it's written on the receipt that no refunds will be made after payment. the man returned us $8 saying that $1 is for the receipt. is there justice in this world???
