MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I'm back from Mauritius. (:
Mauritius was fantastic! Had so many first-times there.
First time seeing all the beautiful beaches with clear blue water. First time seeing a fish with horns and does actually look like an unicorn. First time trekking up a mountain, all the way to the peak. First time jumping off a cliff near a waterfall. First time riding on a banana boat. First time snorkelling. First time going quad biking. First time seeing a school of dolphins and one that leaped out of the water and did a somersaut. First time having the soles falling off my shoes. First time seeing so many bugs in a house. First time killing a lizard. First time going clubbing. First time drinking shots. First time seeing a drunk person talk non stop for hours and hours.
And many many more...
It's also my first time having a bruised toe and a slightly sprained ankle, and getting stomach upsets from spicy food. I've become so tanned, everyone's commenting on my skin colour.
Came back and slept for more than 10hours in 24hours.
I can't get used to the fast paced life in Singapore after the 12 days in Mauritius. Over there, it takes about an hour for your meal to be served in a restaurant. On the street, you see dogs lazing around and not barking when people go near them. But people drive super dangerously. They speed, even on winding narrow roads. And the drivers are all so used to turning around to talk to the passengers.
I miss Singapore for its food!
Stingray, hokkien mee, oyster with eggs last night. BBQ-ed tonight. I'm having a blast!
