Day 2 in Kuala Lumpur

Sis and I had the complimentary breakfast buffet provided by the hotel.
We were impressed by what they have to offer. Totally different from the hotels that we've stayed in. They have a wide array of food, from toast to pastry to cooked food. I've never eaten so much for breakfast in hotels before.

Being the pigs we are, we went back to sleep after breakfast, then took a bus down to the temporary bus interchange to purchase our coach tickets to Malacca. The main bus interchange at Puduraya was closed for renovations.

Upon reaching, you see people running to the bus. And when the bus door opened, those people stretch their hands in to attract attention from the commuters. It was a really scary sight. They are actually "runners" for the bus companies. To get business and they earn by commission. I had to wait until most commuters were off and ran to the front of the bus to alight.

My, they are really persistent. This lady followed my aunt everywhere. Really. She waited while my aunt talked to another company and followed us again to lead us to her company. In the end, we didn't get tickets from her company.

We took the train back to the city.
It's seriously confusing. They have KTMs, monorails and all sorts of lines. In Singapore, all we have is MRT and maybe LRTs. It was raining rather heavily then, so we ate at some random coffee shop that serves yummy food too. I don't know why, but all food stalls in KL serves yummy food.

When the rain stopped, we went back to the hotel to change and headed out again. To shop.
Visited their very first Uniqlo outlet at Fahrenheit (known as KL Plaza previously), Pavilion and Time Square. Pavilion is a little like Paragon, high-end shopping mall.

Dinner at Mr Teppanyaki at Time Square and we were back in our hotel.

Day 3 in Kuala Lumpur

After the breakfast buffet, we took a private bus to The Curve. Like I've said, they have a few types of public transport. For private buses, they have fixed routes too and you pay RM3 no matter the distance. And I really hated the bus ride. The suspension was so horrible that my butt's away from the seat whenever the bus goes over a hump. Feels so fortunate that Singapore has so much better public transport.

At Curve, all we did was shop at Brands Outlet. My sis and I used to get our t-shirts from there, but this time, all I got was a skinny belt. Yay to not overspending! Then, we took a cab to Mid Valley. The private bus was taking forever to come and we've decided not to wait. Lunched at Purple Cane. The food there is superb! They cook everything with tea leaves. Even their soup is served in miniature tea pots.

Here's the address:
Mid Valley Megamall, Mid Valley City,
LG-011, Lingkaran Syed Putra,
59200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Tel/Fax: 603-22840322

After which, we took a cab back to Kota Raya. It's similar to Lucky Plaza here.
For them, it's little Myanmar. Shop owners are mostly from Myanmar. After my aunt got her shoes, we went back to Sungei Wang because sis wanted to get the shorts she got in another colour.

Headed back to our hotel and ended up watching the entire Pearl harbour, before dinner at the beef noodles stall at 1am. It's really freaky to be walking on the street past midnight. We were the only people on the street and the back alleys were really dark. I don't think I'll ever leave the hotel at such hour again.
