Visited Underwater World with Hanwei sometime this week because Dad got me complimentary tickets!
I should have went right when he gave me the tickets, which was earlier this month, because Marine Life Park wasn't opened then.
Now that it's open, Underwater World's selling their tickets at $15 per pax, and each paying adult can bring in a child or senior citizen for FREE.
It was so crowded in there!
On a weekday afternoon.
But it was Hanwei's first time there, so he was pretty excited about it.
Plus, crowds do not affect him.
Love that blue starfish.
It looks like a decorator, but it's real!
And those tiny little pufferfishes.
I'd love to see one of those puff up one day.
He was enjoying himself at the touch pool, feeling every single creature in it.
Stingray, baby shark, starfish, pufferfish etc etc.
While I stood there admiring the cute little pufferballs, slowly being pushed away from the touch pool by the non-stop incoming groups of children.
Touched the big stingrays as well.
Evil looking monster.
I can't remember what these were, but they lead a pretty meaningless life.
They were all floating, drifting to wherever the current brings them.
WITH THEIR FACES POINTING TO THE SEABED ALL THE TIME.
Come on little fishes, look up and see the light!
Delicious malt candy looking like fish.
The turtle that looks like a pig.
Every single shot is an unglam one.
Horseshoe crab!
That can be found in mangroves.
The underside reminds me of a cockroach.
They always look like they are struggling to move around, especially when they swim.
I stood there observing them.
They swim by moving their tiny legs vigorously and always with their underside facing the top.
Reminds me of the Geography module I took - Biophysical of Singapore.
I had to memorize the different periods and eras.
Lookie, the horseshoe crab existed ever since 570 million years ago!
They should have improved their way of swimming already.
One of my favourite exhibitions in the Underwater World, but it wasn't there that day.
I think they shifted this to the Marine Life Park. ):
Lionfish, which looks like that malt candy looking like fish, in another colour.
This must be one of the most interesting creature around.
Just like its name suggests, it mimics other animals to protect itself from predators.
It has tentacles and looks like an octopus, but much smarter.
It can spread its tentacles apart, to mimic the lionfish, or it can lay flat on the seabed, with its tentacles together and swim like a flounder.
I was so amazed by it!
But I only watched the octopus in the documentary move.
I wish I could see it in real life.
Huge ass Japanese crabs.
Check this out!
The decorator crab.
It looks like someone just sticked colourful puff balls all over it.
Loaches
To me, they're just cockroaches that live underwater.
Eew.
The ulta big one.
Double eew.
Unicorns do exist!

The face of a stingray
Whenever I'm on the conveyor belt, I'll be looking forward to seeing the dugong at the end of the whole thing.
IT WASN'T THERE!!! ): ):
So so disappointing.
And he tries to be like the penguin.
That was all for Underwater World.
We went on to the dolphin lagoon because it's connected.
We learned that pink dolphins are not pink at birth.
They're grey in colour, just like any othr dolphins.
As they mature, they lose their grey and only a matured one is pink throughout.
Angelina ballerina
This cheeky little thing caught all 6 hoops!
Not a single miss.
This bold little thing took the whole pack of popcorn left behind by tourists and ran off with it.
When it saw another group of tourists sitting down to enjoy their burgers, it left the pack of popcorn behind, dashed towards them and attempted to snatch the burgers away.
It failed to do so and went back to it's unfinished pack of popcorn.
How greedy.
The horny peacock.
I HEARD IT'S MATING CALLS!!!!
I felt so close to nature then, looking at these peacocks and that greedy little monkey.
But the crowd started to build up again, so we left for dinner.
Desserts at my favourite Queen & Mangosteen.
Love their chocolate lava cake!
Shall bring my family there one day.
