Chill out with the Dumbies

This is one of the few instances when we have a proper meet up.
For the whole year or so, whenever I meet up with this group of primary school friends, it'd be late night supper at the prata place near my place.
Well, mainly because it is kind of the central meeting point for all of us, especially for me since I can walk home. Hahaha. And also because all of us are busy in the day.
Since it's holiday for them and everyone's free for lunch, I brought them to one my favourite eating places.

BJ American's Diner!
Love it because of their homely ambience.
It was nearing christmas then, so they had christmas songs playing the whole time we were there.

We were there before 4.30pm so lunch promotion was still going on.
Every main dish comes with a soup and free flow drink.
Good service, nice ambience and best thing, no GST or service charge!

We got to doodle on the table while waiting for our food, and after.

My feeble attempt at drawing moo.

And moo's attempt at drawing himself. Hahahaha.
Okay yes, he's better at it.

Darry tried drawing whatever he was eating (lamb).

Mr Meow-sama drawing his favourite meow.

Our very first photo together after my hair grew out from 2 years ago!

Keisuke Toyko Ramen

Mum had been craving for Keisuke's ramen after seeing the queue at Orchid Hotel and reading reviews about it on magazines. I've been seeing reviews about this place online too.
So we went there on a Friday night (wrong choice because that's when most people head out for dinner too).

It was already 8.30pm when we reached but there was still a queue.
It moved relatively quickly though. Maybe because they only had 3 slightly different dishes on their menu.

We went to the outlet at 100am, beside Amara hotel.
This outlet serves only chicken ramen, while the one at Orchid hotel served pork ramen.

3 different soup bases - chicken, black pepper and wasabi.
And you get to choose if you want the ramen only, with seaweed, with egg, or with everything.

Every table has free flow bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs.

And every bowl comes with this!
I loveeeee grinding my own sesame seeds.

I was feeling adventurous that day, so I tried the wasabi soup base.
It made everything so much yummier!
If you're a fan of wasabi, try it. It's not as spicy as the usual wasabi.

Chicken soup base with all toppings.

Black pepper soup base.

Towards the end, the soup was a little too salty for me.
But I've just googled. They have crab ramen at Parco's outlet!
Shall head down one day to give it a try.
I LOVE crabs.

Gentings Day 4

Woke up semi-early (9am) again to try another dim sum restaurant.

Everything was available, but there were so little to choose from!

It was a quick breakfast and we had to rush back to our room to pack and freshen up.
Checked out of our room by 1pm and had to decide a place that's convenient for lunch because we had to rush back to the terminal by 2.30pm to collect our coach tickets.

I wanted Bubbles & Bites again but Hanwei thought it was too far away and we wouldn't be able to get back in time.

Chinese food it was for our last meal at Gentings.

I'm a boy who likes to play peek-a-boo.

And I like to act shy.

But I'm not.

This sums up my 4 days in Gentings.

Showed my parents the photos I took there and guess what?
THEY WANT TO VISIT GENTINGS TOO!
We just booked our tickets to go in January.
OH YEAH BUBBLES & BITES HERE I COME.

Gentings Day 3

We finally managed to wake up in time for dim sum breakfast, but still not early enough to be one of the earliest.

This place opens from 6.30am to 2.30pm for breakfast and lunch but they stop serving dim sum at 12.30pm.

We reached at 10.30am and look at what we have left to choose from.
Even the dim sums from the "Other Selections" were all sold out.

The greedy pig.

Look what we saw!
An entire row of lamborghinis, all from Bangkok.
Everyone was just standing around taking pictures with their favourite car.

We planned to go to the theme park on our 3rd day at Gentings but it rained the past 2 days we were there, so we skipped it. (Didn't rain in the end. Stupid weather.)
We spent our whole day minding other people's businesses.
Our entire afternoon was spent at the arcade WATCHING people play and throwing balls at spoilt arcade machines.

Had early dinner at Kenny Roger's because dim sum wasn't enough for us.
Only the chicken was good. ):
Could have gone to Bubbles & Bites instead.

All the clouds were around us, so we HAD to take touristy shots. Hahahaha.
I don't like these pictures though.

It was Bubbles & Bites for late dinner!
The staffs all recognised us by now.
And they knew we were back for gnocchi.

My gnocchi was filled with blue cheese though.
Ended up consuming less than half the portion.

And the really yummy thai red curry seafood pizza!
It had little lychee slices on it.
Who would have thought of that?
Sweet and spicy, the best combination for pizzas.

A table of 3 shared one pizza.
We ate a pizza and a plate of gnocchi.
I'm craving for their pasta and mac&cheese right now.

The rest of the night was spent at various casinos watching people gamble again.
Really, all kinds of gamblers.
We saw hardcore ones betting everything they have won, then changing hundreds worth of tokens again.
It was madness, but eye opening.
