I haven't been to Gentings for years and the only times I've been out of Singapore without my family were school trips and to JB with hanwei.
So imagine my joy when I was allowed to visit Gentings with hanwei. (: (:
I was so hyped up I googled for things to do almost every night even though the things you can do there are of walking distance for one another.
We took a night coach so that we get a full day at Gentings when we reach.
The whole journey was about 7 hours long and we reached First World Terminal around 5am.
The first thing we did was to get a queue ticket for check in, which starts at 9am, drop our luggages off at the bell counter, and walked around planning what we should do for the next 3.5 days.
All the shops were closed, except for fast food chains.
So, we settled on Marrybrown's for breakfast.
Took about an hour before we got our room.
First thing we did was to nap.
The bus ride was so horrible, we couldn't sleep well.
The seat I got was cranky. It went into an upright position whenever the bus takes a sharp turn or goes over a bump. ):
Because I wanted to cramp as much food I can into the 3.5 days, we went straight for lunch after waking up from our nap.
Modesto for lunch!
The prices were relatively cheaper as compared to Singapore's.
Ravioli with spinach cream
It was so good we left it till the very last.
And the very disappointing vongole.
Not a singe tinge of white wine and it was so dry.
I could have saved my stomach space for something else. ):
We took so long to find Modesto because none of us could remember the exact location of it after our morning walk.
But it was such a disappointment.
So different from what I had at Vivo.
Because we were both close to having sore throats, we went for gui ling gao.
Tried this brand's gui ling gao in Hong Kong once and I love it!
Pretty good for sore throat too.
My long awaited Bubbles & Bites for dinner!
I've looking forward to visiting this bistro weeks before going to Gentings, mainly because they serve western food.
My all time favourite - Mac and Cheese!
Wanted to try gnocchi but it was out of stock that day and the waitress recommended this pasta.
LOVE THE SEAFOOD.
Bread and butter pudding that tasted more like creme brulee.
We headed back early because it was strawberry farm on the itinerary the next day.
